Hi!
I’m currently pursuing the Security First Line Manager apprenticeship (Level 3, ST0330) in the UK, and while it’s an incredible opportunity, it comes with its fair share of challenges. Balancing work, study, and personal life is tough—I’m juggling on-the-job training with coursework, often studying late after a long shift.

Despite these hurdles, I’m thrilled to be on this path.
The security industry demands precision, and learning to conduct risk assessments and comply with regulations like those from the Security Industry Authority is intense. There’s pressure to master complex skills, like managing teams and ensuring site security, while staying calm and professional under stress. Meeting Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 standards and aligning with frameworks like ISO 31000:2018 (Risk Management) adds another layer of responsibility.

This apprenticeship is teaching me to think critically about threats, communicate effectively in crises, and lead with integrity—skills that make me proud to grow into a security professional.
The hands-on experience, from managing resources like CCTV to building stakeholder trust, is rewarding. I love knowing I’m contributing to safer environments, and the support from my mentors and peers keeps me motivated.
